In memory of Harvey Osborne

Harvey osborne

"On Tuesday 29th June, 2021 Harvey passed away at the age of just 19, taken very suddenly as a result of his condition: Vascular Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. The kindest, most optimistic and resilient person we have ever known, he lived life to the full, never letting either his cerebral palsy or VEDS stop him from seizing every day and every opportunity.

Harvey touched so many people in his life and everyone has remarked on how much he inspired them with his positive attitude and his genuine interest in other people and their world. He cared deeply about others and anyone who invested the time to know him found themselves with a friend for life.

Harvey was very aware of his condition but never dwelt on the negatives, choosing instead to try and understand how he could help others with the condition, how he could avoid passing it on to his children and what he could do to further research on this rare disorder. For that reason we are directing donations in his name specifically towards research into the condition in the hope that ultimately better treatments and screening will avoid others having to suffer the same fate."

Harvey attended the Annabelle's Challenge and EDS UK vEDS conference in May 2017, our first ever vEDS Conference and he made a long lasting impression on all those who he met and he will be forever in our hearts.

Rest in Peace Harvey
