In memory of Jessica Coggins-Westmoreland

It is with a heavy heart we share the sad news that Jessica Coggins-Westmoreland has passed away at the very young age of 27.

A 2010 graduate of Geneva High School, Jessica completed a Bachelor’s Degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from Wittenberg University in 2014. She then earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from The Ohio State University in 2018.

She enjoyed crafting, offering friends and family thoughtful and handmade greeting cards, as well as crocheting special and meaningful gifts for her family. Jessica liked the outdoors and hiked often with her dog, “Buckeye”. Most of all, she cherished her friends and family.

Jessica will be dearly missed by her husband, Patrick; her parents, David and Kathleen Coggins; her sister, Vickie (Matt) Maurer; nephews, Emerson and Spencer Maurer; grandfather, Donald Poludniak; mother and father-in law, Michael and Bonnie Westmoreland; brother-in-law, Barry (Amanda) Westmoreland; sister-in-law, Carolyn Westmoreland; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dawn Anne Coggins; maternal grandmother, Jean Poludniak; and paternal grandparents, Edward and Sophia Coggins.

On behalf of all our special vEDS community, Annabelle's Challenge & REDS4VEDS we send our thoughts and prayers to you all.

Jess was an active supporter of our #REDS4VEDS campaign and we are so saddened by this.
